I’m an amateur trail runner and a PhD candidate living in Krakow, Poland. In my scientific research I’m exploring the destructive influence of postmodern military conflicts on human mental health. Running through a deserted mountain trail gives me the right perspective when my findings get daunting. Experiencing nature and training in the outdoors, allows me to stay focused and balanced. Entering the wilderness makes me discover serenity, silence and beauty. In my training I don’t always stick to the plan. Sometimes it’s hard for me to resist and I end up running some extra miles just because of the curious pursuit of what?s behind the next hill.
